When I see bands singing about pulling the plug it really upsets me. I've lost and have almost lost people from them committing suicide or attempting to. It's one of the hardest things to live with. On the topic of me relating to the lyrics, sometimes its good to know that someone is going through the same shit. Family only helps to an extent. I can understand your troubles, but telling me to "get some help" sucks and doesn't "help" me at all.

Don't be sorry, he has the right to be offended and you also have to realize there are probably people who can really relate to your lyrics as well, and for a lot of people it's probably not a negative thing. I can relate to them because of things that have happened earlier in my life, and as grievingmass said, sometimes it's good to hear that other people have felt the same way. It's not like the lyrics are glorifying suicide, they're just honest expression.

Also just a quick edit to say that the lyrics to death is my way out are intensely relatable for me, that song is about a very real fear that I still have, I've never seen someone explain it so concisely.
