Quoting for hilarity.helarctos wrote:This might be such an ignorant thing to ask on this board of all things. I don't mean to sound it, or act like this format is the best. I love vinyl's, they are raw, and have the best quality. I just never got around t othe concept of having favorite 7"'s, etc.. as in I have 7" rips, as well with splits.
I can tell which is a split, and who's album is an LP, EP, and single. I just can't tell that it's their 7" and such.
Could someone educate me on this? I usually just have digital copies, because I am a lamer. :<

We're not using satanic imagery to offend anyone... We're doing it to offend christians.
Re: Your Top 10 Favorite 7"s
fuck only having digital music of independent bands and labels. physical music is the only way punk/hardcore can be fully enjoyed as the lyrics and artwork is usually just as important as the music to a band's release anyway.
7"s are the best format. you can try new, unknown bands out cheap and they are short enough that you are forced to pay attention to the whole record, which i like. i can sit down in front of the record player and play 7"s and look at the artwork and read the lyrics/inserts while i listen and i can't just do other shit around the house/room like i often do while listening to LP's.
that said, i am going to compile my top 10 7" list. probably take me a few days to narrow it down to 10.
