well i think my country is good, enough I still have a thing for the UK.
Well in this country we are so small that it is possible to have a girlfriend or friends in the opposite site without loosing the contact.
Well we got like, 2-3 places here that puts good shows up, where josefine here runs one of them.
I fucking hate our government, we are taking everything away from the youth while we are forced to work harder at school and have a job, and it is like we're becoming USA version 2.0
So no offence to the Americans but I like our system here I don't want to see it chance to an USA school and money system :/

Well, the prime minister of our country resigned a year ago, nowadays he spends his days in austrian jails, arrested for frauds and money laundry, while Croatia is waiting for extradition and some more indictments LOL

still better than serbia

Belgium is a pretty boring place. That said, we enjoy a lot of comfort I wouldn't in most other places.

Also, our government is a complete mess. I don't think we even have one anymore. There are a ton of problems to the point where most Belgians don't even bother following it anymore. In fact, one of the top political journalists admits to not being able to follow the situation anymore. All I can tell you is that the problems come from the fact that Belgium is kind of split into a Flemish(dutch) speaking part and a French speaking part. A lot of people believe we're better off without the French speaking part because they're using too much of Flanders' money. So one of the possible(but ultimately unlikely) result of all this might be the seperation of the two parts, turning Flanders into an independent country.

But all in all, it's a pretty great country to live in.

I don't care about this shit, keep it out of this thread. I'm asking about countries with legitimate problems, I don't want to hear your sassy ramblings about how you want to keep partying but have the minor inconvenience of actually being responsible for yourself or a lack of show venues. Also, brush up on your English while you're at it.

I've found the Belgian situation fascinating for a while now. Am I wrong in thinking that an independent Flanders would be the beginning of the end of the EU? I hate the EU and would welcome such an event.

Well, to make it short, I consider the modern nation state to lack any and all legitimacy, so I would consider a supranational entity doubly lacking that legitimacy.

An independent Flanders, however feasible and practical it might actually be, is a very unlikely outcome. With our former Prime Minister as President of the European Council I assume they're doing everything in their power to avoid such a conclusion. It's just that the French speaking part won't make any decent concessions(or at least that's what I heard) and it's pushing those in charge near the brink. Even so, I wonder what process we would have to go through to claim independence. Brussels, our capital, is a dominantly French speaking city(we have a guy from Brussel in our class, and although his first language is Dutch he has a French accent due to the heavy necessity of that language to get by in that city) but is situated in Flanders. Not only that, but it houses our King(yes, we're a friggin monarchy for people who didn't know) who is also a Francophone. It's a terribly confusing situation. Chances are we will have to reëlect our government for the third time in three years or so.

well, if so, I don't think that we have some really big issues in Denmark compared to other countries really, the stuff that we whine about here is practically a normality in most countries, so I cant really complain about them as far as I am concerned.
And where do you find the parting thing, I didn't even mention it unintentionally?
was just trying to take some good and bad things about it up, but you're more interested in some politic issues, am I right?

With a seperate thread and the title 'Tell me about your country' you can't be surprised that people get easily confused.
