With our former Prime Minister as President of the European Council I assume they're doing everything in their power to avoid such a conclusion. It's just that the French speaking part won't make any decent concessions(or at least that's what I heard) and it's pushing those in charge near the brink. Even so, I wonder what process we would have to go through to claim independence. Brussels, our capital, is a dominantly French speaking city(we have a guy from Brussel in our class, and although his first language is Dutch he has a French accent due to the heavy necessity of that language to get by in that city) but is situated in Flanders. Not only that, but it houses our King(yes, we're a friggin monarchy for people who didn't know) who is also a Francophone. It's a terribly confusing situation. Chances are we will have to reëlect our government for the third time in three years or so.
So what, no more waffles?

And where do you find the parting thing, I didn't even mention it unintentionally?
was just trying to take some good and bad things about it up, but you're more interested in some politic issues, am I right?
The use of the term "partying" was not literal. Again, language barrier problem. I am not interested in political issues whatsoever, I'm asking about what life if like in less than comfortable countries.
Oxen of the Sun wrote:With a seperate thread and the title 'Tell me about your country' you can't be surprised that people get easily confused.
I feel the thread title "Tell me about your poor, loser country" would be a bit insulting.

Not if you willfully want to be.

Brazilian government is cracking down and trying to remove the drug lords from the favelas of Rio and other places in preparation for the World Cup and Olympics and just to make life safer overall.
It's all well and nice, but where are we going to get our drugs?
be excellent to one another

I'd bitchslap you right now. Sweden has an amazing screamo scene dewd<3
Like someone said, Sweden is a big country. I live nowhere near the "scene". Wherever that would be. I know there are so many good screamo bands over here, but nowhere close to me. There's Gothenburg where 1/5 of Suis La Lune resides. But hey, Emotional Day 2011 is gonna kick serious ass. I hope my band gets to play.

Japan is okay except that we have an aging population that's why the Japanese government has this incentive program to encourage people to have more children. Each child is given about $150 allowance every month just for being a kid in Japan, srsly. But I don't think this policy is working...Japanese people are just too busy to have kids. We're gonna be extinct.
