Yaphet Kotto appreciation thread

Post by brianutatx »

Yaphet Kotto is soooo good. I've been listening to The Killer Was in The Government Blankets over and over this week. I feel like Yaphet Kotto is one of those bands that aged well with time and never gets old to me. It's probably because they sound very unique and have well written songs.

I'm talking about this:

amazing band, I really dig killer and we bury our dead.

Seems they don't get referenced much though.

From what I heard ( from Matt Bajda of POP ), one of the members flights got delayed so he got in town too late to play. They need to have a reunion show, hopefully in Austin at Chaos in Tejas or something so I don't have to travel to see it.

Which is weird to me. I would rather listen to Yaphet Kotto than any other screamo band.
