If you're into 90s emo you'd probably like my old band, aperture. We sounded kinda like Hour of the Star and Constatine Sakanthi.

I love this thread, shame it isn't ultra-active.
Thanks for the Hour of the Star track xdylanx, they're such a lovely band.

in this post i will justify my opinion to people i've never met in a thread that is discussing a sub-sub-genre of music (possibly sub-sub-sub genre). why do i think Mineral is emo? cause i do. fight me nerd.Wraith wrote:This makes me wonder how many people here consider SDRE, Mineral and other similar artists from the 90's to be emo? Please also state why exactly you can call them emo. To me the jump between what bigmin posted here(which we can all safely call emo) and the Texas Is The Reason kind of music is a bit of a ridiculous shift in styles.

I have the split 7" they did with Julia and the split hey did with ATDI, but to be honest I own those for the other bands and maybe listened to the Sunshine tracks once.dakota fanning wrote:I would really like to hear the band sunshine, can't find anything from them though..someone wanna help me?

Re: Early 90s Emo
No, they had other stuff. An old roommate of mine had a full length of theirs called Necromance, so there is at least that. Like I said, I'm not really familiar with this band so I don't know their whole discography. Sorry.
