That really isn't so far-fetched. Their recent EP shows a few signs, slight signs of heading towards that direction.

My pet-peeve is any of my favorite bands going down the direction that Envy did from Insomniac Doze onwards.
No, no, no. I refuse to recognize that. NOT Portraits of Past. ):

But I have to agree with you on Envy (the Thursday split). I didn't even bother to get Insomniac Doze, I like them best in Dead Sinking Story so I don't wanna ruin that by listening to the entire album. And Tetsuya sounded so old (maybe it's just me picturing him out having an arthritis while recording) in the Thursday split, makes me lol every time but kinda sad because I still love them despite everything they did.

Everyone under the sun calling shitty new-gen Post Hardcore with terribly screamed vocals "Screamo".
Wouldn't that be just terrible?

lol word.

(sry if this is digging up old threads, fku i've been away)

sometimes i'm afraid dgd will drown in band drama. i-- i just love them/their music so much--.... would hate if they one day changed into "assholes" who "sucked ass" (or "themselves" via being "assholes")
nonetheless stoked for messrs lodge and mess return+new album.

You know that's the only possible thing they'd do if they got back together.

i am a huge post rock nerd, but i will agree on the "post rock/screamo" fusion being fairly ridiculous. the band i'm in now has one or two (non-mic'd) screaming parts, but highlighting it just doesn't work.

Some things are just not meant to be. Like autotune and breakdowns.
