Is it just me, or is Touche Amore not that good?

they're playing here in my city next week, not stoked on the local douchebags everywhere though, fuckkkk. i like touche amore, used to really hate them. i think i expressed that on here before. let's just say that they are a melodic hardcore band, not a screamo band.

Actually I didn't pay much attention to them at first because of their association with La Dispute (and I really don't like La Dispute, gave them a chance but seriously, I give up.) I have never thought of them as screamo though. I heard the new record a few weeks ago too and I liked it.

The vocal style is the worst part really, and what really boggles my mind is that people describe this as skramz. Ok, his vocal style is fine, but... I don't generally get into hardcore like this as often. I fell like I could change the lyrics to Youth of Today lyrics and it would make perfect sense. He rarely puts any emotion into his screams. You don't get that epic feel. He's just playing hardcore anthems.

Is this just me?

I bet their next album is on Victory records. Just saying.

I saw Touche Amore open for Puddle of Mudd on their 2010 Mud In My Shorts world tour. It was so epic! I went because I think Puddle of Mudd is the best screamo band around these days and they started in 1992! I was pleasantly surprised by the skramzo gems that Touche Amore was laying down, I don't think they brought "it" as hard as Puddle of Mudd did but keep on the look out for them. I think Touche Amore is going to be as big as Nickleback in a few years.
