i remember the likes of dipleg, tiala, nervous light of sunday etc but how many of them are still around?

I lived in Kyoto for about half a year doing the exchange student/ekaiwa thing. I got out to a handful of shows, and the scene seemed pretty solid, if small. Loma came through on tour, which was kind of cool, even though I missed the show.

I never made it to Okinawa, but I've really wanted to go ever since some older punk guy in Kumamoto got me into the sanshin.

and yea, some are still around. i wouldnt know too much about mainland but here in oki, theres still a few. (unripe, the cops.., off season, etc.) killie are still playing shows as well. did you ever listen to yarmulke?
