Is there a decent scene happening in Chico ? If so how would a show with For Want Of and Adobe Homes go over there?

chico, california. and there is no scene here to speak of. There's a bunch of crusty punk types, and metal heads, but my band and another new band who plays screamo just happened to start up at the same time. (In Reach is that other band), so we're gonna attempt to bring good music to our area. I think a show would go over great, because the thing is all shows here are either at a pyrate punk venue, some indy cafe, or a bar. We're booking basement shows, and when those happen, people get stoked and show up. of course, none of this is relevant if you were thinking of chico texas...

I was not thinking of Chico TX. For Want Of and Adobe Homes are touring together this January to California so we will need some places to play in Northern California.

well, what date do you need, or what dates are possible? i ask because my band will also be touring the west coast in january. we'll be leaving up toward seattle on the 6th, heading back down to san diego after that, and ending up back in chico around the 16th. I might be able to set something up there while we're gone, but it'd be cooler to play together. That and if I'm gone, I have to entrust promotion to someone else, which i don;t like to do. Let me know your dates, and we'll work something out. perhaps we could caravan to a few places together if the dates will allow it. here's what we have planned
1/6-redding
1/7-portland
1/8-seattle
1/9-olympia
1/10-eugene
1/11-bay area
1/12- Oxnard
1/13-LA
1/14-san diego
1/15 bakersfield
and maybe a final date in chico itself.
