I don't listen to very much hardcore anymore, haven't for years really. Earlier this evening I was listening to Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven on Earth".

generally on my own time it's hardcore-related music
on the radio, alternative "new rock" station
hanging out, partying, going out with people it's all about gay pop songs and top 40 tunes to dance to and the like...

otherwise i generally enjoy progressive metal, or anything "prog" that's somewhat unconventional or technically interesting

i'm newer to skramz so even "old news" is on my "to do" list? i'm usually trying to catch up on that

Sunn, Earth, Khanate, Winter, Kingdom, and Swans. Edmonton winters fucking suck, it's perfect for evil depressing music

I listen to a lot of shoegaze and dream pop, hardcore, post-punk, goth rock, neofolk, sludge metal. Sometimes rap/hip-hop...mainly older stuff, some mainstream stuff that doesn't suck, and Definitive Jux stuff. I used to listen to a lot of post-rock too, but I got bored of most of it.
