If I'm not listening to anything within the emo genre I'm probably listening to old school hardcore. I also listen to some 70's prog, and "classic" rock. Stuff like Pink Floyd, Rush, Gabriel era Genesis, Led Zeppelin, The Doors.

hmm... a decent amount of hip hop, hardcore, post rock...the usual stuff, but I'm also really into folk music (in fact I've played in a folk punk band for quite a few years now), and I listen to Jesus Christ Superstar quite a lot. Musicals in general are rad, but that one is a favorite. Honestly, the biggest one is probably Weird Al. I've been obsessed with that man since a young age, and he's still pumping out amazing parodies and putting on better shows than 90% of the hardcore acts i've seen. Oh. And JAZZ: herbie hancock, thelonious monk, bill frisell, charles mingus, rhasaan roland kirk (to list some of the weird ones) as well as more mellow jazz. The only genres that I avoid almost entirely are indie-rock/pop, just about any techno, and classic rock. For me, living in a town full of hippies ruined the small portion of classic rock that the radio had left unscathed.

Folk punk, anti folk, emo, underground hip-hop, spoken word, singer songwriter-ish stuff, hardcore.
Mostly.

What about Yes??????

I like listening to tons of progressive bands. Ranging from all kinds of genres. My most-listened-to bands of modern time (~'00-now) that aren't skramz would probably be stuff like The Fall of Troy (progfest-post-hardcore), Converge, Meet Me In St. Louis (and other mathpop/rock-bands, like Colour and Tubelord. Meet Me In St Louis is probably more like The Fall of Troy though, leaning towards post-hardcore, although sounding completely different from them), The Blood Brothers, Drive Like Jehu, Deathspell Omega, Number 12, also, The Chariot.

I also really fucking enjoyed War From A Harlots Mouth's latest album, MMX. It sounds nothing like their old stuff, it's completely different. It's a massive progfest and it fucking rules. So much talent.

Have always listened to black metal, since I was like, 7? My sister introduced me to it when I was young and for some reason I really liked it. Bands like Dissection, Abruptum, Burzum, Summoning, Windir, Månegarm and Naglfar were a few of those that I enjoyed listening to back in the days. Had a huge break from black metal for some years and while I enjoy those bands I listened to back in the days I have a hard time getting into black metal that I haven't heard before. I guess I've grown out of it. Although one of my fav bands are Deathspell Omega, like I mentioned before.

My parents listened to shittons of 60-70-80's rock when I grew up, including stuff like Led Zeppelin, Yes and Pink Floyd (to name a few), so that stuff lies very close to my heart.

tl;dr - i like alot of music

I dont really listen to much else I guess. I'm a fan of the whole twinkly scene, in part to me really liking math rock type stuff, but besides those two genres and screamo I don't really listen to other stuff to much. I've found myself to be a fan of some of the new Sub-Pop bands and some folk, not exclusively No Idea type stuff either. I'll listen to a bunch of post-hardcore in the realm of Thursday and such and have the occasional Joy Division/Smith session, or some kind of similar band. If you catch me on the right day I'll be listening to The Suicide Machines. Some of my favorite non-skramz bands are Carrissa's Wierd, The Get Up Kids, Cursive, The Speed of Sound in Seawater, and Empire! Empire!. Whatever.

Lots of Lowtalker, Living With Lions, Misery Signals. Pretty much that, but then I throw in some Veil Of Maya, Volumes, or some canadian band.
Fuck the pop culture.

Mostly (post-)hardcore and metalcore. But I also often listen to indierock and post-rock.
