too poor also... check this out though, an '85 mr2 with 130K... also i'm pretty sure this would have the same engine that was introduced earlier on ae86 corollas

anyone else get freaked out by craigslist adds where the seller can't pull off a complete sentence? also not sure what's going on here with the white hub caps but... ok?

here's the original mr2 that piqued my interest, gotta little sunburn on it but i bet this engine will go another 200K with little tlc.

2/3 of the body styles for this car, the post '99-00 era for this car just doesn't really do it for me.

I really love craigslist ads like that. I probably wouldn't buy a car from one, unless I was prepared to sink a lot of money into it, but it's kind of a fun game to play to see what backstory you can come up with for why the writer of the ad is now contributing to the collapse of civilization at maximum potential. That one clearly says "black guy" to me.

The non-supercharged AW11 MR2 and the AE86 do indeed have the same engine, the 4A-GE 16-valve, but I'm pretty sure it showed up in the MR2 first, and maybe some other Toyota product even before that.

In one of my craigslist adventures, I came across an early 90s Mercury Grand Marquis that the owner had donked, but it had a Cool Whip theme. The entire car had a Cool Whip color scheme, right down to red and blue rims, and a "Cool Whip" airbrushed logo on the sides, but the hood...

...the hood contained something truly special. It was a "Ghoul Whip" airbrushing, of a haunted dollop of Cool Whip with a face, complete with fangs, and the subtitle "The Haunted Topping".

I do not understand this whatsoever. The ad proclaimed the car was "4 sell" and to "ask 4 Quon" when you called.

I showed it to a friend of mine and he proposed the idea that Quon was attempting (and maybe succeeded) to achieve some sort of 3D effect given the colors of the paint scheme and rims. Of course you would have to be wearing those 3D glasses with the red and blue lenses, but a 3D Cool Whip car is still a 3D Cool Whip car.

its great how much bang for the buck you get for one of these late 80's early 90's import power plants from toyota/honda/nissan so it seems like a good buy but yeah, when you go used like that you really get what you get, jizz stains and all... so it is tough to say what the real story on these cars are but for 2 grand for a mr2 you know there is bound to be some kind of suspension/steering wear that has occurred over the years especially with these fast little imports that everyone loves to slap an intake and exhaust on and daily drive to death

my search for cars and money for those cars continue on...

I'm 99% sure that's a Socrates quote.
