50 Best Screamo Songs (In my opinion)

i agree about the merchant ships band on this list. i hate hate HATE those twinkle daddy fuckheads. this is just my opinion though. cry about it below if you want.

Listen to the song that I listed. You should know how much I hate twinkle. Their final EP wasn't twinkle at all; it was pretty much straight up midwest screamo. No more twinkle than, say, Lion of the North.

that band isn't the midwest screamo that i know. no offense when i think of midwest screamo i think of spirit of versailles and other bands along those lines. not kinsella twinkle daddy music with yelling. i listened to that song and i wasn't impressed, but that's just me. i listened to some other songs too and what's with the drummer? he's terrible haha i thought i was bad, but holy shit that kid is on a whole new level of shitty.

Everyone who makes one of these lists is super internet. I'm super internet for letting this list stay up and I'd be even more super internet if I locked the thread and maybe even more internet than that if I deleted it. But the most internet thing ever (is not me saying internet a ton in this post) is plasticsmilerecords calling some dude out for liking some dumb ass band when (if I'm wrong, let me know I'm wrong and I'll apologize) not less than a year ago the guy claimed to like nothing but crust, then started a screamo label to release his own bands albums (on bandcamp and last.fm), releases 7 tapes (or so) and a full length (that I understand was mostly purchased via bigcartel), and does not play more than one show with either band he is in (because they were probably formed on the internet), and becomes super knowledgable via messageboards and last.fm as well as appropriate his entire instant screamo collection through ebay/discogs and, again, online messageboards.

Shut up dude, just shut the fuck up. That band sucks, all bands suck. Get over it. Stop it.

i guess i can see where you're coming from. i feel like if you knew where i was coming from about that band then you understand why i don't like them lol iwontstopwondering does play shows btw, but i don't play as often i would like because of my crazy school/work schedule and the lack of basements/bands in my area now-a-days. everyone is moving on and away it seems like. anyways iwontstopwondering wasn't formed on the internet. i'll tell you the story sometime if you really want to know i guess. it's actually pretty interesting haha celestial being is 100% online though between me and another dude who lives almost 700 miles way from me. hopefully someday we'll have the chance to play a show together, but for now it's online.

i have another thing to add to this too. mainly about the internet. i kind of have no choice but to use the internet so people are able to hear my music and buy it if they don't live close to me. i'm just like any other person that has a band or a label. like i said most of us have no choice but to use the internet because real mailorder stuff takes forever and it's a hassle. it's just the most convenient way these days. i didn't even know being "internet" existed until last night when i read your post. that's a knew one for me. i can try be all "PLUR" or whatever, i had to look that up btw, if people on here get upset because other people have an opinion on a music forum.
