If you havent seen it yet stop whatever you are watching and start watching Legends of the Galactic Heroes. It is the best anime PERIOD.

too lazy to see if anyone has mentioned this, but tekkon kinkreet is probably my favorite anime ever. its the best. all the quotes from that movie are so good, in and out of context. i highly recommend it to everyone, anime fan or not.

Looks like I'm going to be posting a fair bit here as well ahah.
Heard vague things about the Madoka movie trilogy, it'll probably still be a couple years til it's out and subbed and such though. Hoping it'll be a prequel or an alternate universe thing, seeing as the series finished it up pretty well. As far as anime I watched this year goes, loved steins;gate, madoka, didn't really like anohana, still need to finish usagi drop, mawaru penguindrop and hanasaku iroha and start persona 4 and horizon.
Watched Mardock Scramble as well. Not sure if it was actually good, or I liked it just because it was so reminiscent of ghost in the shell/akira. In any case, the cliffhanger ending was pretty horrible, and I'm waiting for the second part.
