^ It's sooort of different. Don't get him too hyped because it basically is just the same Final Fantasy battle system that came before it, but they added a few cool things. Like if multiple characters have a full action bar you can do a combined attack and there are no random encounters, which is probably my favorite thing about it.

sounds kinda cool, and FUCK random encounters. i can only handle turn based combat in strategy games, you know where it's possible to avoid enemy attacks. but i suppose i'll have to get my hands on the ds version at some point.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of most of it, it kind of came off as lame. The Rainbow Road redo was pretty chill though.
