hey, i'm isabel, one of the vocalists in daido loori. the name comes from john daido loori, the head monk at zen mountain monastery where i spent a lot of time as a kid. he was one of my first role models and my mother and i had a close relationship with him. he died in 2009 so the band name is in memory of him.
