I used to be in a band with the guitarist from Dads. He's a nice guy, though really shy and socially awkward. He seems to communicate more clearly via the internet or text like most people under 25 these days. I've never met the drummer though.

Back in 2008(?) Scott and I were in a short-lived indie band called Disarmor. We recorded a demo, played a handful of shows and then no one really had time to invest into it anymore. It was fun while it lasted.

because they are a super unoriginal band with really big heads. plus their fans are so wack!

I was just hanging out with Ian Harris (who played keys in SWS, he is recording the Woglake EP) and we listened to What Have We Done?...Nothing and neither of us had heard it in about a year and we were freaking out about how ridiculous that band was. I miss their shows. Josh needs to play in another band. Captains! Vessels! were cool, too.

I remember one time Sleeper played in my buddy Burge's garage and the cops showed up and instead of telling us to stop the show or quiet down, they just asked what the band was called and bought a CD and left.

I used to play bass in dads when they first formed. I'd never touch a bass before I was in the band, but when we started it was supposed to just be a fun time band. Those dudes were my best friends for a long time. When shit started to get serious and they got serious show offers, they told me I wasn't keeping up with them and it'd be best if I left the band, which I can live with because it was true. But I was in a really rough spot in my life and I remembered telling John how important the band was to me. They kicked me out of the band a week before we were supposed to leave for a tour I helped book. I was told I wasn't going on tour even just as a friend by a drunk John at 2 am because they didn't have enough room, then they took Scott's girlfriend with them...

They're both self-loving tools, John more than Scott.

Also, before John was in dads he did solo stuff where he wrote every fucking song about some girl he dated for like 2 weeks.

Rad I'm totally down to rag on Dads. They came here on your and showed up in a brand new mini van (no joke, like a 2013 dodge caravan?) played with our local bands and stayed at the house they played in. The next day they woke up and sat in front of eachs others laptops with heads phones on watching different tv series'. My friends tried to get them outta the house to show them the city but all they did was lounge it up. Later they went to get some food after getting super stoned. Left later on without saying much.

John's parents bought him that van simply because he told them he wanted to tour.
