I back those statements soo hard! You've got to give it up to the guy he basically invented street skating. Also the dudes pressure flips are insane, he just flips the board so many times so effortlessly. Is anyone as bummed as I am with the skate shoes these days? It seems as if all they are making these days are gum soles and those do not last long at all, I just got the Nike Eric Kostons lows and its surprising how comfortable they are with how little material they have.
I AM EXTREMELY BUMMED about the quality of skate shoes these days. I've actually just always been bummed out about them because I've been paying $50+ for shoes since I was 11 haha
Yeah the gum sole trend that's going on is really unfortunate. Also skate shoes in general are weird these days. That's why I got the Kostons, they are like the only shoes I was liking without gums soles. Don't get me started on the prices, haha.

SKATING IS STILL VERY MUCH A THING. A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR THING.

I just tripped over to Japam and picked up a board. They have their own style over there I swear to god!
Japan is a skate paradise lots of polished stone work that isn't capped/knobbed

And everyone there is riding around on boards under 8" I haven't been on a 7.75 since 04-05.

Scored a pair of the OG eS accel reissue. My crew burned through at least 100 pairs all together back when they were still in production  I don't have the heart to shred them though. Waiting for the accel plus to come out again! Gotta let those straps hang!

Yeah it's been about 8 years since I've gone under 8". Stepping on a 7.75" again would be interesting.

Right now I'm riding a toy machine with the pro model reynolds indie trucks and HOT PINK spitfire wheels. Gotta keep it sassy 8-)

What's your setup?

For me, I currently have some 4 year old enjoi deck, royal trucks, dark star wheels, and a random assortment of bearings.

This part is cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk8dy4NIzBU
