black metal is one of my favourite genres.

I have never checked out that WITTR band though. everyone everywhere keeps talking about them, so I guess I have to find out what the fuzz is all about.

right now I'm hooked on rock and punk with black metal influences, check out bands like Okkultokrati, Haust, Kvelertak and Drugged SS.

Forgot an excellent one: Velnias. More like blackened doom I guess, but so good.

@ hjörds, WITTR is cool, but a bit overrated. But if you like their style, check out some of the bands I listed in my first post (Altar of Plagues, Weakling, Fen, Wodensthrone), similar though not the same. Love that type of black metal though.

Although the kvlt skvadr0n already messed up with black metal. There are still some good bands in all those insanely-big maybe automated black metal, depressive suicidal nihilism blah blah .. I'm totally in love with black.
My faves are.. eveything done by Neige (the man who started the shoegazey/post-rock influence in black metal almost a decade ago), A Forest of Stars, Blut aus nord, Pensees Nocturnees, Darkthrone, Movimento D'Avanguardia Ermetico, Drudkh, WITTR (A Forest of Stars' new LP beats the shit out of anything done by them), Valborg, In Tormentata Quiete.. hell there are too many.
