Drudkh is the only black metal band I need...and Agalloch if you would consider them BM.

Agalloch is doom/folk metal. Not a blast beat in sight.

Quorthon claims he never knew who Venom was when he started writing his music but....I dont buy it. Either way Quorthon basically made black metal into a real genre not just a nifty thrash counterpart he was the influence for pretty much every Norwegian and second wave of black metal bands in the 1990's like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Burzum, ect.
