Just found out that post rock is really good reading music. Seriously. Like, I can't concentrate on reading when I'm listening to Defeater or Girl Talk or anything super catchy, but I usually found listening to early Daitro (and other post rocky skramz), Coalesce, and postmetal stuff like Neurosis and Isis and Red Sparowes makes for real good reading music. I just happened to have some Sigur Ros CD in my stereo while I was reading some shitty sci-fi book and I found that it made for the near perfect reading musics

I read to whatever music is on. Especially when I have to read textbooks.

still doesn't work for me. But maybe both the genre of the book and the genre of music you're using as a background need some special formula to go together.

although post-rock does work when you failed a test and want to cry yourself to sleep. seriously.
